THE STORY OF PANDAN THE PANDA
Many years ago, two pandas met aboard a ship sailing from China to Indonesia. They fell in love and had seven cute baby pandas together. The youngest of these met another handsome panda and together they produced two adorable little ones, a boy and a girl. The girl was called Dot.
Most pandas live to eat bamboo. Dot was different. She found bamboo boring and hard to track down, so she started looking into other kinds of food and discovered pandan grass. One taste and she was hooked. The combination of the fragrant aroma and sweet flavour made it irresistible. On top of that, she discovered pandan is full of nutrients, so it can help boost our health.
UNTOLD TREATS
In fact, Dot loved pandan so much, she started using it to make all kinds of treats, such as pandan chiffon cake, a refreshing pandan drink, profiteroles filled with pandan custard, pandan ice cream, pandan bread, soufflés, pancakes and much more!
With such a passion for food, Dot moved to Australia to study cooking. There, she met a koala and they had three panda-koala babies – or pankols. But Dot missed the flavours of her childhood. It was then that she had the brainwave to introduce her favourite ingredient to Australia through the Pandan the Panda brand. She doesn’t intend to stop there, either. This delicacy from Southeast Asia deserves to be known and enjoyed throughout the Western world.
